World-class steelhead fishing. Two distinct experiences. One unforgettable place.

Alaska Steelhead Program

What makes it unique

An early-season Alaska steelhead program focused exclusively on targeting the freshest, ocean-bright fish. With only four anglers per week and access to remote, boat-only rivers, every trip is designed around solitude, movement, and fishing water that sees very little pressure. Getting there is part of the adventure, traveling by enclosed-cabin boat through coastal Alaska with wildlife and dramatic scenery along the way.

Season timing

Mid-April through mid-May
A deliberately short, five-week season timed to intercept steelhead as they first enter the rivers from saltwater. Fishing early allows us to focus on bright, powerful fish before spawning begins and before most other programs are on the water.

Who it is best for

This program is ideal for anglers who value quality over quantity and enjoy an active day on the water. Guests should be comfortable covering water, fishing multiple rivers or stretches in a day, and embracing the physical nature of early-season steelhead fishing. Prior steelhead experience is not required, but a good attitude, curiosity, and a sense of adventure are essential.

Fall Fishing and Foraging Program

What makes it unique

A private, fully customizable Alaska adventure combining saltwater fishing, freshwater fishing, foraging, and hands-on cooking. Each week is reserved exclusively for your group and centered around Wrangell Island, with daily boat access to inland passages, open water, and productive streams. Guests fish, forage, cook, preserve their harvest, and share meals together, creating a deeply immersive Alaska experience that goes far beyond a traditional fishing trip.

Season timing

August through September
Late summer and early fall offer incredible diversity, with opportunities to target king and silver salmon, halibut, shrimp, and bottom fish, while also fishing streams for salmon and trout species. This is also prime season for mushroom foraging and enjoying Alaska’s landscapes at their most abundant.

Who it is best for

This program is ideal for groups who want a private, flexible Alaska experience that blends adventure with comfort. It is well-suited for friends, families, and small groups who enjoy fishing, food, and learning new skills together. Prior fishing experience is not required, and the trip can be tailored to focus more on fishing, foraging, cooking, or exploration, depending on your group’s interests.
